What is a "Total Woman" and what does she stand for?
You have heard us say that it is our goal to equip and empower women and girls of all ages to become the Total Woman that God created each of us to be.
But what does that mean?
Each of us is unique and God has special, unique plans for each one of us. This concept of being "unique" is a simple but powerful one. Because we are each unique, and because we each have a God-given identity and purpose, our lives will look different from one another. It seems simple enough, but it can be so difficult for many women, if not most, to grasp. We tend to compare ourselves to every other person we run into, even if we don't even know them. We tend to believe the lie that we aren't as good as the next gal, while God has bigger and better truths waiting for us to grab hold of and run with.
Through TWU, we seek to find creative and fun ways to equip women to discover what being a Total Woman looks like in her own life, and then we empower them to embark on the journey of becoming that woman. We know that becoming more of the total woman God intended for us to be means becoming more like Jesus. And becoming more like Jesus means living the life we were created to live - a more fulfilled and purposeful life where we experience God in fresh new ways every day. We have found it in our own lives - when we begin understanding who God created us to be and we begin living the life we were created to live, our perspectives change, our attitudes change, our lives as a whole are transformed. Living this kind of transformed life point others to Jesus so they too can be the person they were created to be and live the life they were intended to live. This beautiful cycle continues and begins to transform not only our own lives, but our families and our communities.
