EVENTS
growing SPIRITUALLY * growing EMOTIONALLY * growing INDIVIDUALLY * growing TOGETHER
Becoming the total woman God created you to be!One way we seek to encourage women to discover their unique and God-given identity and purpose is through events. Whether through a large event, a workshop or small group, or on an individual basis, Total Woman U encourages women to invest time and energy into personal growth through deeper and more in-depth studies. Throughout the year, we offer workshops and conferences, book and Bible study groups, and an online community to help do just that.

“Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them.”
~W. Clement Stone “We learn and grow and are transformed not so much by what we do but by why and how we do it.”

FOR WOMEN
The TWU Faculty develops events from start to finish and builds the entire event around Biblical principles with a specific theme. Our Faculty works hard at designing events that are both encouraging and challenging, engaging and practical, relevant and meaningful. We strive to create fun and non-threatening environments for women to walk alongside each other as they continue to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
As you browse our website and learn more about us, you will see that we strongly believe in personal growth. We promote Bible Studies, book studies, affinity groups and other small groups where women can grow in their faith and in friendships with other Believers. Our events are NOT in-depth Bible Studies. And while we will discuss many different aspects of a topic at the event, we simply do not have the time nor the capacity to take our topics very deep. We provide a Book List with our picks for deeper and further study into our topics, and we encourage women to start groups after events to go through these books. We also start groups led by a TWU Faculty member when we can.

FOR TEENS
Our message is not just for women, but is for women and girls of all ages. It's not easy been a teen, and navigating through the world today, especially with social media, is not an easy task! We recognize this fact and want to help younger girls discover their unique and God-given identity and purpose as well. Reaching girls at a younger age will not only help them avoid some of the issues we older gals face, but will also help them push through the tough situations they face at this stage of their lives.
Depression, eating disorders, teen pregnancy and even suicide is more prevalent than ever and that breaks our heart! It breaks God's heart, too, because this is NOT the life He intends for any of us. We want to equip the next generation to better handle the daily struggles as well as victories. We want to empower them to not be afraid to STAND UP and STAND OUT and be who they were created to be. We want them to understand that being different is ok and even good, when it comes to comparing and fitting in. However, "being different" has now been given a new connotation. We hope to help girls grasp the difference based on what the world says about comparing ourselves to others and fitting in, and labels and expectations, versus what God says and His truths.
We work to bring the same quality to the teen events that we bring for the women. We have focused on an annual TEEN SHE event. At these events, we have both large group sessions as well as break-out labs. Our large group sessions include all the girls attending, while our labs are broken down by age group and are therefore smaller. We have separate lab sessions for Jr High (6th-8th grades), Sr High (9th-11th grades), and in 2015 we began separating out the Seniors for their own labs. The labs are similar topics to each other, however, they are geared to the needs and experiences of the different age groups and are therefore age-appropriate. The senior labs add in more topics to help them get ready for life after high school. All of the messages are Biblically-based and are relevant to the girls' daily lives.
