This one came up out of the blue recently. It’s from 2015 (which is why she looks so stinkin’ young – ha!) and from one of my favorite artists – who happens to also be a Louisianian. I’ve not heard a song of hers I don’t love. But here’s an oldie but a goodie – a reminder of trust in all things, higher plans and His will over ours. Isaiah 55:8-9 (New International Version) “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Psalm 143:9-11 (New International Version) “Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.” Matthew 26:42 (New Life Version) “He went away again the second time. He prayed, saying, “My Father, if this must happen to Me, may whatever You want be done.”” “When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move, When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through, When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You, I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You.” Have a great weekend!
