I’ve got another great song for you today. Another mellow one, but it’s so good! I just love Katy Nichole. I found her album “Jesus Changed My Life” several months ago and I think I added every one of the songs on that album to my playlist. I’m sure I’ll be sharing more in the future. Verse one feels like a things-are-fine kind of verse…you wake up, and get going with your day…and you know where to find love and truth – Jesus. Verse two feels to be addressing fears and chaos…and you know where to find comfort and rest – Jesus. He knows us personally, He knows our name and there are a million reasons to turn to Him. And for those of you who grew up in church, or just love old hymns (or both, Mother J), you’ll love the bridge in the middle. Enjoy! John 15:4-8 (The Message Version)“Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” Comments are closed.
